How to use it ?

Ozone is never injected directly into the pond because it is toxic and highly corrosive, it is diffused either in a protein skimmer or in a reactor.

These devices allow a minimum contact time between water and ozone, thus promoting the diffusion of the gas and its beneficial effects.

The efficiency decreases very strongly if the air supplying the ozone generator is wet, which is why it is necessary to dry the air, which is not easy in a practical way. Generally, the ozonizer is oversized and the air intake is placed in a dry room

Damp air causes other problems: the formation of nitric acid in the ozone (which leads to its premature wear or even its partial destruction ...), instability of the redox and the appearance of the pelvis ...

If one wants to optimize the efficiency of the ozone, the use of an oxygen concentrator is a good solution: by blowing pure oxygen instead of air (air contains 21% oxygen ) The production of ozone can be increased from 70 to 250%!
