Arrange your pond easily and safely? It’s possible with a specially made-to-measure EPDM membrane!

And this with a 20-year warranty: 20 years for the EPDM membrane, but also 20 years of warranty on assemblies made in the factory.
But what exactly are we talking about?

You will read similar proposals here and there, however we want clear and precise information and we must distinguish between two types of manufacturing: assembly by cold vulcanization or hot vulcanization (hotbonding).

The usual EPDM membrane sold to cut allows you to create garden ponds in the ground, but with folds...

It is also possible to use this membrane for the waterproofing of pools made of solid material: in this case, installation on site is possible and the different EPDM parts are assembled with products, cold. This is the case, for example, of the Firestone membrane that we offer on this site.

In the case of our 3D EPDM membranes the process is very different since the assembly is done hot, in the factory: hot vulcanization is the most qualitative technology for making welds.

For this reason, the membrane used is of European origin, manufactured in Spain to be precise. The clothing factory is based in Belgium and has a 1,100 m2 workshop equipped with vulcanizers (robots) meeting the highest current requirements.

You are sure to obtain a perfect product with impeccable finishes.

Additional advantage: even if this membrane is hot vulcanized, it is possible for you to join two pieces of EPDM (the case of a sheet of water between two pools, for example) with usual products.

The thickness of this membrane is 1mm: environmentally friendly, it has a certificate for the storage of drinking water.

How to proceed ?

For a pool with a simple geometric shape: square, rectangular, L-shaped, T-shaped, with an interior dividing wall or even circular, simply send us a simple request by email.

Please note, your project must represent a minimum surface area of 8 m2! Below this surface, we will not be able to respond to your request (think of polyester resin in this case...)

Attach a sketch with dimensions and indicate the width of the desired upper edge.

Laying felt is essential before installing the membrane: tell us if you want the felt at the same time and your location to calculate transport costs.

You will receive a personalized offer quickly including transport costs.

The installation of this 3D membrane by a team is also possible but only in Belgium.

If your pool has a more complex shape that is difficult for you to measure: it is possible to have this project measured using the latest technologies (3D theodolite) but this service is only possible for Belgium. Contact us!

After receiving your agreement, the membrane is delivered to your home (approximately 10 working days)

How to pose?

1. Place the felt on the bottom and walls of the pool: glue this felt at points (spray contact glue) 25 - 30 cm apart, it is not useful to glue the felt entirely, but you can if you prefer it.

2. Place the membrane in the pool and unfold the edges, placing weights in the corners.

3. Adjust the membrane if necessary to position it correctly.

4. Fill the bottom of the pool (approximately 2-3 cm) by pulling on the edges to extend the membrane properly. Depending on the case, then empty it to install the bottom drains.

5. Start filling again, and extend the walls of the membrane: temporarily place weights (bags weighted with sand, not bricks or blocks which could fall into the pool and damage the membrane!)

6. When the walls are well stretched, proceed with the installation of the wall penetrations, lighting, etc.

7. Fill the pool completely and glue the edges (Bonding Adhesive or Bonding Spray). The EPDM membrane only sticks to the edge of the base, not to the bottom or the walls. In some cases, a professional technique involves the complete gluing of the membrane, but this is done with adequate equipment.

Two possibilities: either you install it yourself as most of our customers do, or you prefer to have it installed by specialists.

In the first case, we send you the membrane with or without felt, and you install it.

In the second case, we ask for a price estimate for the installation, and if the offer suits you, an appointment is made. Please note, installation is only possible in Belgium and Luxembourg, exclusively.
