QuickPrime Plus Elevate

Description

Elevate™ QuickPrime Plus is a primer used to clean and prepare the Elevate EPDM membrane prior to the application of QuickSeam products.

The primer activates the surface of the EPDM membrane and is necessary for the creation of the seal. QuickPrime Plus must be applied with the QuickScrubber™ tool.

Preliminary precautions

The surface of the EPDM to be bonded must be dry, clean, smooth, free of oil, grease and any other contaminants. A preliminary cleaning with Cleaning Wash is necessary.

Clean the surface of the Elevate EPDM membrane with a brush or a clean cloth. Mix the primer well to obtain a product of uniform color and without deposits before use and during installation. If stored at a temperature below 15 °C, ensure that it is brought to room temperature before use.

Application

Apply QuickPrime Plus primer to the surface of the Elevate EPDM membrane using the QuickScrubber pad and applicator, using wide back-and-forth strokes and applying sufficient pressure until the surface is dark gray, without streaks or excess product.

Allow to dry completely (usually 10 minutes) before applying QuickSeam products.

Consumption

Consumption depends on the type of joint: generally between 18 and 23 m² (application on one side) per gallon (3.7 liters)
