QuickSeam Flashing

Description

Elevate™ QuickSeam SA Flashing consists of an unreinforced EPDM membrane laminated to a QuickSeam type self-adhesive strip. It is protected with an easily removable, weather-resistant polyester film.

SA Flashing can be used to achieve easy finishes when a vulcanized EPDM membrane is required or preferred. It can also be used for repairs to Elevate EPDM membrane (e.g. cuts and punch-outs).

Application

QuickSeam SA Flashing can be used in the following Elevate systems: RubberGard™ EPDM, RubberCover™ EPDM, GeoGard™ EPDM and PondGard™ EPDM.

Preliminary Precautions

The surface of the EPDM membrane or the surface to be bonded must be cleaned with QuickPrime™ using the QuickScrubber™ tool. The use of any other product is not permitted. If stored below 15°C, ensure that it is brought to room temperature before use.

When repairing an Elevate EPDM membrane that has been in service for some time, it should be thoroughly cleaned before applying the QuickPrime™ primer. The cleaned area should be larger than the repair area.

Implementation

Apply the strip in one or two dimensions (flat or maximum one change of angle). Install a QuickSeam FormFlash reinforcement piece at the overlaps and changes of angle. Refer to the Elevate technical guide for specific installation instructions.

Consumption

Depending on the length of the detail to be sealed. At the junction of two strips, make an overlap.

Sold by the linear meter, i.e. 45 cm / 100 cm.
