HOW DOES THIS FILTER WORK?

The filter mainly consists of a tank in which is housed a rotating drum: this drum is coated with a filter membrane of 60 microns (0.06 mm) on its periphery.

Dirty water from the basin is directed into the interior of the drum, and to leave this filter, water must pass through the membrane filter.

The water in the pond, which is freed of particles, comes out of the filter and is directed to the biological part of the filter.

As the dirty water passes through the drum, the particles settle out, blocking the small holes in the membrane which gradually clogs.

The passage of water is slowed down, causing a difference in level between downstream and upstream of the sieve.

At this time, the detection system starts a drum cleaning cycle. From this moment, the drum turns very slowly and the nozzles placed on the upper part (external side of the drum) project water jets on the filter membrane: under the pressure of the water, the smallest dirt is expelled from the filter membrane.

This dirt is collected in a gutter and directed to the sewer. The upstream / downstream water level is restored until the next cycle.

This cleaning is minimalist: it only occurs when necessary.

This model also includes a biological filter: the water first passes from the drum part (mechanical filtration) to the biological part from where it will then be evacuated to the basin.
