HOW DOES THIS FILTER WORK?

The filter consists of a 3-chamber tank into which the water is pumped from the basin. Since the outlet of the filter is located above the level of the basin, the water returns to the latter via a pipe whose slope allows the flow of water towards the basin.

In this way, the filter works in pumping mode: it can however also work in gravity mode. It is then necessary to arrange the pool with a bottom drain, skimmer and appropriate pipes.

Dirty water from the pond is directed into the first filter chamber where brushes trap particles, leaf algae etc.

Having got rid of this waste, the water then passes through the various biological chambers of the filter. These chambers containing supports, nitrifying bacteria find the surface to develop and participate in biological purification.

This type of filter requires maintenance which simply consists of keeping the brushes in an acceptable state of cleanliness and regularly purging the chambers to empty the sludge.
