Fill the biological filter with a maximum of 40% Hel-X, eg 400 liters of Hel-X per 1000 liters of water.

Before pouring the Hel-X into your filtration and to accelerate the bacterial colonization, soak the Hel-X in water containing potassium permanganate. Wear gloves and goggles!

Use 1 gram of permanganate per 10 liters of water for 10 minutes.
